Berber Lines – Contemporary Hand-Knotted Carpet (373x285cm)

£2,295.00

Description

Inspired by the spontaneous geometry of traditional North African Berber weaving, this contemporary carpet presents an open, asymmetrical network of fine lines and small lozenge forms. Its pared-back composition has an almost architectural quality, while subtle irregularities preserve the expressive character of handwoven tribal textiles.

A soft cream pile is worked over a gently faded, vintage-blue ground, giving the carpet depth and the appearance of a naturally aged textile. Its restrained palette and generous proportions make it particularly suitable for a large contemporary living or dining room.

Hand-knotted in Pakistan by Afghan refugee weavers.
