This attractive rug belongs to the Arab tribe from the Zagros mountains in the south west of Iran – one of the 5 tribes forming the Khamseh federation. It is likely over 100 years old and it is in a very good condition with one very old and well-made repair in the rug’s upper part. All dyes used in making of this rugs were natural and plant-based save for the section of the old repair
