Description
Mid-20th century south-Persian Gabbeh (shaggy rug) attributed to the nomadic Luri tribe. The Lurs are about the largest tribal nomadic tribe in Iran. Unlike their neighbours, the Qashqai whose Central-Asian roots are evident in their Turkic language, the Lurs speak a language that is related to Persian.
