Description
Mazandaran kilims from the northern part of Iran was unknown in western carpet trade until 1998 where Parviz Tanavoli published his book “Persian flatweaves“. In older times these kilims were used as comfortable coverings and as wall hangings keeping the houses warm in the cold mountainous area.
