This is a Karabagh-Moghan Kazak rug circa 1880/ The condition of the carpet is superb: full pile … Rug this age in such good condition are always viewed with a degree of scepticim, however there is nothing abouth this beautifil Caucasian artifact that would suggest anything but the end of the 19th century cottage manufacture. The rug was likely kept om a dowry chest for over a century and sold most recently. There is in fact no sign of use, not to mention wear and tear.
