Description

Large and colourful Persian kilim in wool.
This kilim may be attributed to the no longer existing Khamseh confederation.  The Khamseh consisted of 5 tribal clans (2 Lurs, 2 Qashqai and one Arab tribe)  and dissolved in 1976. Their works display motifs that are found in work by both the Qashqai and the Lurs but feature their own identity. This kilim is a very rare textile artifact.

Size: 265x155cm
